Urgent Prayer Request. Parents concern in Uganda is calling on all Christians and God loving people to prayer. Tooro High School this year will not receive support for the 117 orphans currently being taken care of under the orphan education support project. You have probably met the orphans, you have probably heard about them. Either way, a dark cloud lingers on their hope for the future. This exceptional project has seen real lives transformed both spiritually and materially. It has witnessed these orphans turn to Christ, it has seen real hope restored to the hopeless, faith to the faithless and life to those most in need.
Parents concern is calling on all Christians with a heart for the poor and a passion for Christ to commit themselves to prayer and ask the Lord that a miracle continues to happen in the lives of these poor orphans. Starting this February, these orphans will not go to school, because funds for them will not be available.
Parents concern is calling on all groups, organizations, churches and people of good will with a giving heart to donate as much support as the Lord may allow to have the orphans back in school. It is not just school for them; it is home and life too. These orphans long for the day they will be back to school because they get to have an education, they get to meet friends who are orphans like them but mostly, it is a place they feel safe, girls especially.
The Tooro high school dream is slipping through their hands and it is painful on Parents concern to have to tell these poor orphans that there won’t be school any more. Please donate. The average cost of maintaining an orphan at school is $50.00 per month. The project needs at least $5850.00 each month to keep the 117 orphans in school. On how to donate, please contact hmehangye@parentsconcern.or.ug for details.
